Americans toss out 25% more trash during the holidays than any other time of year. That equates to about 2,887,500,000 more pounds of waste per week.

Wrapping paper, greeting cards, returns, decorations, food waste, and holiday lights.

Ways You Can Make a Difference

1. Donate gently used items to those in need.
2. Eco-friendly wrapping ideas: Reuse gift wrap and gift bags, use reusable tote bags or reusable cloth wrapping paper, etc.
3. Re-gift unwanted/unneeded gifts.
4. Save leftovers of holiday meals and upcycle them post-holiday.
5. Switch to LED holiday lights-they use 80% less energy and last up to25x longer than traditional lighting.
